Some New Pieces

Down here in the southern hemisphere spring as arrived with summer not too far off. The days are getting longer and warmer so with that in mind I’ve been using much brighter colours in the jewellery I’ve been making the last week.

The flats I could wear, the heels?………not in a million years. My high heel wearing days are long gone sadly.

Both of the necklaces are listed in my madeit.com store, go check it out.

Pictures and Palettes

I flew to Newman at the beginning of the week for 3 days for my job. It’s an iron ore mining town about 1200 kilometres north of Perth so there’s not a lot to do or see.

On the plane trip up I managed to take some photos of the amazing landscape through the plane window.

From the air the landscape is amazing. It’s like looking at veins with thousands of capillaries fanning out from them.

So anyway I downloaded an app called Color Schemer that enables you to pick colours from photos and create a palette. Of course I chose this picture for my first palette.

Well now I have to start looking through lots of photos to find potential palettes.

And It’s a Yes From Me

I’m a bit sucked into the X Factor at the moment, so if you watch it you’ll get the heading.
I’m referring to this bracelet.

P1040719-001

Yes….I’m happy with how it turned out and it will be listed in my store shortly.

It’s using this tutorial again with a slight variation.

P1040717-001

Instead of using a button and loop closure I’ve used a magnetic clasp which I find easier to take on and off than a loop one. Sometimes they can be a bit tricky to manoeuvrer the button through the loop especially if you are using waxed linen cord.

This bracelet is listed as well, Multi coloured dyed fire agate beads with black waxed linen cord, black jump rings and a quirky button.

I’ve also listed a few pendants here for sale.

Pretty light blue clay mixed with a a bit of translucent to give an airier feeling to them.

And some swirly pastel beads, a set of discs and rounds.

Here’s something really wonderful to look at……and it’s a definite yes from me!
